Our Mission
Portland was once the proof that progressive values and a city that works could be the same thing. We believe it can be again.
It starts with electing pragmatic leaders who are serious about running our city and county.
It is a choice between dysfunction and delivery. Between politics as performance and leadership that produces outcomes.

We Believe
We believe justice and compassion must be paired with effective governance, public safety, and economic opportunity. We reject the false choice between values and results.
Portland should be the model of a progressive city that works — not a cautionary tale.
Safe Neighborhoods
Public safety and civil rights go together.
We cannot normalize parents checking parks for needles, seniors fearing going outside of their front doors, and restaurants and bars bearing the cost of vandalism and theft. We need leaders who know recovery starts with safe, clean neighborhoods.
Good Governance
Accountability is a moral value.
Performative politics, ideological grandstanding, and finger pointing are not the path forward. We need leaders committed to good governance, accountability, and transparency — leaders who can build diverse coalitions, drive public–private partnerships, and manage budgets and outcomes.
Economic Vitality
Economic vitality funds social progress.
We cannot tax our way out of this. We need a thriving economy to raise the floor for everyone. More jobs means more mobility. More housing starts means greater affordability. We need leaders who understand businesses and a growing economy fund our parks, schools, and non-profit community.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN CANDIDATES
We are helping elect a different kind of leadership. Pragmatic leaders who will make life in Portland visibly better — more people housed indoors, more treatment available, safer neighborhoods, stronger small businesses and more jobs, and cleaner public spaces.
We support leaders committed to tackling some of our biggest challenges.
1. Homelessness & Behavioral Health
A commitment to housing people indoors, expanding treatment capacity, and enforcing reasonable public camping regulations. Portland cannot normalize sidewalk suffering.
2. Public Safety & Policing Reform
Reform-minded but not anti-police. A belief that safety and justice go together. Safety is a prerequisite for equity.
3. City Governance & Competence
Evidence-driven leadership capable of managing bureaus and budgets effectively. Execution is policy. Portland needs coalition builders, not culture warriors.
4. Economic Vitality & Small Business Climate
A belief that a healthy economy funds housing, schools, and services. You cannot fund justice with decline.
5. Public Space Stewardship
A commitment to safe, clean, accessible public spaces for everyone. Public space belongs to all Portlanders.
Leaders who:
Combine empathy with execution.
Understand budgets and tradeoffs.
Measure results instead of making excuses.
Build coalitions instead of dividing communities.
Work for everyone, not the loud few
Leaders who know that execution is policy.
